UPDATE: Water testing

My best laid plans were thwarted today when the lab called me today to tell me that they had just received my water samples from the SVL swimming beach for testing.

That was the good news.

The bad news is that the water was too old to test for valid outcomes. The lab tech explained to me that microcrobes in water only live up to about 48 hours. I mailed the samples on Tuesday and they got them today - 60 hours after I drew the samples.

Lesson learned! Next time I will know to send them express delivery. I could send off new samples this coming Monday, but it is not likely it is the same water composition that was there last Monday.
