Firework Display Tomorrow, July 3rd

Tomorrow night we will have fireworks displayed off the dam at SVL. A volunteer group from the Association has kindly put the effort and expense into making this happen. I expect that the light and sound display will commence about 9:20 to 9:30. We will block the main dam road around 8 PM.

Many have asked about good places to view the fireworks. I don't have a good answer for that. But, perhaps you should find a friend or neighbor who has a lot with a clear view of the SVL main dam and ask if it would be OK to join them.

I don't advise just parking on a vacant lot or on a random roadside. That would not be a very considerate thing to do.

Also, please know that lake rules prohibit being on a vessel on the water after the sun goes down. This is really for your own safety and the safety of others. So, please faithfully abide by this rule.

Another request: please be a kind and considerate neighbor and curtail shooting off fireworks at 11 PM.
