LAKE WATER REPORT

I have had a report that some people are experiencing stomach issues after swimming in the SVL main lake. Out of an abundance of caution, I would recommend not swimming in the main lake until we can figure out if there is a cause and effect here.

Many are concerned about the stomach sickness that some children experienced this yesterday at SVL. Among the most serious problems we may have is blue-green algae in the lake water.A simple, cheap and at-home test you can do is described at this

It requires an overnight refrigeration of test water, so I will have results from water taken off the shore of my SVL home tomorrow morning. I encourage others to test the SVL water near them where swimming and water play are done.
