Community Updates: 2027 Board Nominations & Assessment Increase Town Halls
As we prepare for 2027, there are two key community priorities that require member participation and feedback: elections for our open leadership seats and upcoming town hall discussions regarding proposed assessment adjustments.
Here is what you need to know to get involved.
Run for the 2027 Board of Directors
Serving on the board is one of the most effective ways to contribute to the long-term stewardship, financial planning, and operational success of our community. There are currently two (2) open positions for Hidden Valley and two (2) open positions for Sugar Valley.
Eligibility & Submission: Any member interested in running must submit an official statement of intent along with a candidate bio.
Deadline: Tuesday, December 1
Where to Submit: Email your materials directly to karen@sugarvalleylake.com
All candidate bios will be published and distributed in our upcoming annual newsletter, which is also where you will find your official election ballot.
2027 Proposed Assessment Increase Town Halls
To ensure full transparency and provide an open forum for questions, leadership will host four Town Hall meetings regarding the proposed 2027 assessment increase.
All members in good standing are encouraged to attend to learn more about the proposed changes, review the details, and ask questions.
Meeting Dates & Locations:
Tuesday, December 1 at 6:00 PM – Hidden Valley Lake Clubhouse
Tuesday, December 8 at 6:00 PM – Sugar Valley Lake Clubhouse
Saturday, January 9 at 8:30 AM – Hidden Valley Lake Clubhouse
Saturday, January 9 at 11:00 AM – Sugar Valley Clubhouse
Your voice, leadership, and questions help steer our community forward. Please mark these dates on your calendar, keep an eye out for the annual newsletter and ballot, and consider stepping up to serve!
